powering breakthroughs

Have you seen the new YNHHS-Yale School of Medicine commercials?

During Super Bowl Sunday on Feb. 11, Yale New Haven Health ran three new TV spots before, during and after the big game on CBS-affiliate stations in the Connecticut area.

The 30-second spots highlight how collaboration between Yale School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Health translates breakthroughs in medical science and clinical expertise into personal triumphs for patients of all ages. They include:

  • Delaying type 1 diabetes: Kevan Herold, MD, led teams of colleagues across the U.S. to develop a game-changing drug that can delay the onset of type 1 diabetes for years.
  • Targeting lung cancer: Roy Herbst, MD, an international leader in innovative research and clinical trials, has advanced the use of immunotherapy and targeted therapies to personalize treatment for lung cancer.
  • Advancing fetal surgery: Mert Bahtiyar, MD’s multidisciplinary team performs in-utero surgery to successfully treat spina bifida before birth.

The commercials are currently running in local TV local markets and on selected streaming networks and social media platforms. Check them out.
