The first official Corporate Compliance and Ethics Week was observed in 2005 as an event that could assist members of the Health Care Compliance Association™ and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics™ with the ne0ed to educate staff on the importance of compliance and ethics. The first National Corporate Compliance and Ethics Week was held May 22 – 28, 2005. This year marked the 17th celebration.
From Nov. 7-11, Yale New Haven’s Office of Privacy and Corporate Compliance (OPCC) celebrated National Corporate Compliance and Ethics Week across the system by bringing the Compliance and Privacy program directly to our workforce. The week’s events promoted awareness in ways that reinforce not just specific rules and regulations, but the overall culture of compliance. Attendees had a great time being back in-person and on-site, interacting with over 650 workforce members.
Multiple NEMG office locations were visited, and the Compliance and Privacy team connected with more than 130 attendees.
The OPCC encourages the reporting of issues to help protect patients, coworkers, the community, and the organization. An issue may include, but is not limited to, any known or suspected violations of the law, Code of Conduct or policies and procedures.
