Richard Goldstein, MD, NEMG vice-president and CMO
NEMG is excited to announce the launch of a group-wide ambulatory safety initiative - the Morning Escalation Safety Huddle (MESH). This program will help NEMG efficiently address issues, both operational and clinical, that have possible safety implications. Currently piloted in the New Haven region, a MESH will ultimately be introduced in every NEMG office.
MESH will enable senior leaders to respond with more agility, celebrate great care and successes and better support all NEMG sites. We are asking for all physicians and advanced practice clinicians to support the efforts of our team and staff to enhance the situational awareness of operational, safety and access issues. By understanding and tracking these events across NEMG we have more power to optimize and provide exceptional patient care.
The New Haven region pilot performed well during its first week, and the team will be fine-tuning the component parts, Dr. Goldstein said. Those on the brief call are site supervisors, so please bring any concerns you have to them. These calls should not interfere with your patient flow in the office. Thank you for your support in building a culture of safety throughout NEMG.
