Staff from GH's numerous outpatient services provided information in the Noble Conference Center
More than 100 employees attended the first “meet and greet” event at Greenwich Hospital last month to learn more about the providers and services offered by Northeast Medical Group and GH’s myriad outpatient departments. Employees had the opportunity to speak with more than 30 physicians and staff, make appointments and learn about the many cost-saving measures available to employees with YNHHS health benefits when they elect to use YNHHS services.
“This successful event aimed to ensure our employees have access to services and understand their benefits are a direct reflection of us living our mission: ‘Yale New Haven Health enhances the lives of the people we serve,’” said Diane Kelly, DNP, MBA chief operating officer. “The health and well-being of our employees are a priority. By caring for their health, we also ensure they can serve the communities that depend on us for their healthcare.”
“Organized in response to employee feedback, the event also helped employees understand how they can take advantage of cost savings, while still receiving the best possible care for themselves and their families,” said Melissa Turner, SVP, Human Resources. Employees with YNHHS benefits, for example, on average pay less out-of-pocket expenses when care is provided through YNHHS facilities and providers.
HR will soon launch an employee benefits utilization survey for feedback about the scope of existing services and potential barriers to accessing care. HR also is seeking employee volunteers to participate in a focus group for input on designing the 2020 YNHHS benefits package.
