This month, Northeast Medical Group recognizes two essential members of its Community Outreach Committee (COC): Anna Catanzariti and Maureen Leach.
Anna Catanzariti, a practice supervisor, has worked for NEMG for more than 11 years and has been an active member of the COC since 2019. Of the many programs she’s volunteered her time to, her favorites are the Ronald McDonald House volunteer meal program, Toys for Tots, and the Back-to-School Drive. “The ability to pay it forward to those in the community is terrific,” she said. “Being able to bring them hope, joy and peace is extremely rewarding. Knowing that there’s someone out there who cares and will strive to help them, is heartwarming.”
Maureen Leach, DNP, AGNP-BC, has been with NEMG since 2016, and for the past three years, has been a valued member of the COC. She’s volunteered for numerous initiatives within the New London region, including: dinner services and a sock and undergarment drive to benefit the New London Homeless Hospitality Center, and Cheer Garden deliveries to show staff appreciation at regional NEMG offices. “I love working with the COC and opening our hearts to help the community,” she said. “It is such a great committee that does so much for the community and beyond. People are able to think out of the box and come up with fabulous ideas.”
The COC is instrumental in carrying out NEMG’s mission to help the communities we serve. For information or to join, contact Robert Mitchell, 203-384-5109. Watch for more information on committee initiatives.
