Biography - Paul R. Bourguignon, MD

Paul R. Bourguignon, MD, a board-certified general surgeon, treats conditions including breast disease, laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery and vascular surgery. Dr. Bourguignon’s interests include a wide variety of surgical issues, including hernia repair and cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, breast and skin. He is proficient in minimally invasive abdomen procedures and is trained in robotic surgery with the da Vinci robotic system. Dr. Bourguignon performs vascular surgery, including bypass procedures, dialysis access and vein care. He is the chief of surgery at Westerly Hospital.

Dr. Bourguignon earned his medical degree from the University of California, Davis. He completed his residency at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Dr. Bourguignon is board-certified in general surgery by The American Board of Surgery (ABS).
