Shenider Dufort, CNM

Shenider Dufort, CNM, a certified nurse-midwife, enjoys supporting her patients to make informed health decisions, helping them foster a sense of ownership over their health journey and create a safe space for expressing their needs. Shenider also educates patients about their bodies, the birthing process, and feeling more in control and confident. She has a particular interest in preventative healthcare for women and newborns. Shenider specializes in female reproduction, pregnancy, childbirth, family planning, postpartum care and lactation support.

Shenider earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Southern Adventist University in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society of Nursing, and her certified nurse midwifery degree from Bethel University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Prior to midwifery, she was a high-risk obstetrical nurse for five years at Yale New Haven Hospital. Shenider is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) and is board-certified in midwifery by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB). She is fluent in English and French Creole. Babies are delivered at Greenwich Hospital.
