Community outreach was very active at Northeast Medical Group throughout the holiday season.
Bridgeport region practices collected new, unwrapped toys, along with pots, pans and small kitchen supplies for the ‘r kids Family Center. Offices also donated winter clothing, personal hygiene products, toys, books and electronics for LifeBridge Community Services and CT State Housatonic’s Adopt-a-Family programs.
“Giving is an act of kindness and generosity that benefits both the giver and the receiver,” said Robert Mitchell, chair, NEMG community outreach. “It also helps address social problems and create a sense of community. Giving is not just about making a donation; it’s about making a difference.”
Community Outreach Committee (COC) members from the Greenwich region partnered with the Salvation Army in Port Chester, NY, for their Adopt-a-Teen program. The Salvation Army provided wish lists for 10 children ages 13 to 15. Additionally, NEMG Greenwich region staff donated more than 40 winter coats, numerous scarves and gloves and six boxes of non-perishable food items to the Salvation Army.
New Haven region practices once again collected items, including nearly 400 toys, books and clothing items, for the ‘r kids Family Center.
