On Dec. 4, Northeast Medical Group’s PILOT (Process Improvement Leading to Optimization and Transformation) Committee held its final meeting, after providing six years of supporting key NEMG initiatives.
The innovative, cross-functional group comprised clinicians and staff with Operations, Coding, Billing and Practice, along with preventive health coordinators and Population Health teams. The committee met monthly to review topics centered on optimization and transformation and provided valuable feedback on these and other initiatives:
- MA career ladder
- Workflow standardization
- Mod Squad and process improvement initiatives
- Preventive Health Coordinator program
- Super User program
- Onboarding optimization process for new clinicians
- SOAR initiative
- Epic builds
Multidisciplinary collaborations and updates included first look, support and debriefs on:
- Epic upgrades
- Social drivers of health (SDoH) pilot and results presentation
- Diabetes Committee updates
- Patient-centered medical home updates and workflow review
- Care Signature Clinical Pathways discussions
- MA II vaccine administration pilot
- Coding, billing and note template responses to the CURES Act
- Space2Care program
