Practice Optimization Team members who presented at a recent conference included (l-r): Mindy Hink, senior practice optimization specialist; Liz Dubois, practice optimization specialist; Ryan Condon, practice optimization specialist; Krista Giacopassi, practice optimization manager; and Brian Williams, MD, medical information officer, practice workflow optimization lead.

On March 10, the NEMG Practice Optimization Team presented at the New England Epic-user Collaborative (NEECo) Conference in Waltham, MA. The event provided the opportunity for New England health systems to connect, share insights and enhance the collective use of Epic to elevate regional healthcare standards.

The NEMG presentation, “Implementing a Quarterly Optimization-Based Training Program,” focused on the team’s S.O.A.R. (streamline, optimize and refine) sessions.

“There was a lot of interest in optimizing ambulatory workflows as well as how the training was implemented,” said Krista Giacopassi, practice optimization manager. “Sharing the work we have done to help other organizations was a great experience.”

S.O.A.R. sessions provide coordinated workflow training across all roles. To view previous sessions, visit the NEMG page on the employee intranet and select “Practice Optimization” under Departments and Communities, then choose Workflow Training Library.
